Urskovens Historie

Visual identity for the exhibition “Urskovens Historie” (The History of the Primeval Forest) in Lejre Municipality. The design consists of signage and infographics that unfold along the exhibition’s timeline and mural by illustrator Lars Horneman, and show how the landscape has evolved from the Ice Age to the present day. The infographics feature a series of graphic illustrations explaining natural phenomena such as kettle holes and forest fires.
Exhibition design by Torden & Lynild.

All the signs are printed on plywood, with a limited color palette consisting of dark blue, one transparent color per zone and a white spot color that adds a silkscreen-like look

The exhibition is housed in an atmospheric historic stable building in Valborup, located in the Bidstrup Forests, and admission is free.
